Wow, I have not blogged in almost a year and a lot has happened since last November. Let’s see, i got pregnant, had a baby, sold our house, moved a few times, bought our new house. Since we moved from the Kansas City, MO area to the Denver, CO area I had to get a new job as well. I hope to start updating more frequently soon, I just wanted to let everyone know that this blog is not dead!
For my son’s Harry Potter Party I was quite impressed with myself because I made some awesome Chocolate frogs and they came out great! Here are the supplies you’ll need:
- A microwavable pourable bowl – I used my pyrex glass measuring cup.
- Meltable chocolate – I got two flavors – Dark Cocoa Mint and Milk Chocolate from Michael’s craft store.
- Frog mold – I got mine from amazon here.
- A microwave.
- A freezer.
- A spoon.
It took me a couple of tries to get the time right on how long to microwave the chocolate. You will have to play with it too because it depends on your microwave and how much chocolate you melt at a time. I poured the chocolate in the mold, smoothed it out with a spoon, and then placed it in the freezer. I don’t think it took longer than 15 minutes in the freezer and viola! Perfect chocolate frogs. I hope you have as much fun making these as I did!
